- Adrian_GlossmanRoyal Road★★★★★ 5.0So, I have read this one till first 10 chapters.
One thing which I noticed that it does well is it sticks to its title, I have previously read some Barbarian stories where the Author after the first 2-3 chapters forgets that his protagonist is a Barbarian, his common sense is suppose to be different from that of a normal person.
Though our protagonist was once a man of civilization before he got transmigrated, his upbringing in this new world is done by the standards of Barbarian, Which I kinda liked.
Style:- The style with which author has written this is your pretty standard webnovel way. Not too many paragraphs, easy comprehensive language which denotes the setting.
Story:- Till now, I am liking the way story is moving, not many fantasy elements has been introduced till now. It's still grounded. That's what makes me like it more.
Grammar:- I didn't find many grammatical error, though the sentence are being phrased can be improved, (As they say, there is always scope for improvement)
Character:- As I have mentioned earlier, I have only read till 10 Chaps and in this time period I understand the Characters motive, his thought process, Though the point that Author hasn't put much emphasis on the point that MC is transmigrated from a 21st modern world but still he's not using any of his common knowledge to make his standard of living good in that world makes like the character more.
I mean he wasn't some genius in his modern world, He was just a normal salaried man...The groundedness of this story make me like it more. - Ellen TaylorRoyal Road★★★★★ 5.0This was a fun read. I enjoyed this one. It was an intriguing story about a barbarian, and it was fun to read about a barbarian for a change.
Going through each of the sections, I'll start with the easiest. Grammar is always going to be a five star from me unless there was something glaringly bad about it. Nothing pulled me out of the story, so it's a five star.
The style is great. As we follow our main character, we're in first person. On the occasion where the reader is transported to a different character, it goes into third person. It doesn't happen a lot, but it's fascinating to get insight into other characters, too, and I personally enjoyed it.
Story is great! I personally would have liked to see more mention of our character who lived his life in the modern times adjusting to medieval times with magic. As it is, the modern life he left is hardly mentioned. However, the story itself is fascinating for what we have. It is definitely in a more magical place, with huge demon creatures and magic. I enjoyed seeing the world with our main character.
Speaking of, the main character was fun. I don't read many barbarian stories, and I think I need to read more! Also Rella is great fun, and those two interacting deserves a five stars category on their own.
Overall, this was a great read! - Funioustic_HalRoyal Road★★★★★ 5.0I am just loving this story, I don't write reviews, and I won't waste much of both of our time by saying that how good, fun , fluffy and Action packed this story is.
Just read it man...
I am sure you will enjoy.
It written in webnovel style, So if you are reading it on Mobile phone, then it would be great....
It's really a good novel. - Himmel_ZoldrakRoyal Road★★★★★ 5.0I really liked this Story. The way this story takes a Slice of life approach but then it becomes action comedy thriller is just my favourite thing about it.
Style: I pretty much liked the way the story is written, the proses were apt, The Author didn't went into a lot of Explanation. He kept things quite to the point where it's necessary so that we can run our imagination in it.
Story: Now, before reading this I haven't read a single Barbarian story, I have read stories where is part of the crew but not the main lead. So, I was kinda interested how can one make a savage Barbarian an MC without ruining the plot any way soon.
And, I am impressed, It's really good. The mysterious aura which the Author has kept around Rafa's family is really awesome. And his interaction with other characters is also pretty nice. Rella is such a cutie 🥰, Witch is also a interesting character.
Grammar: It very readable and until its readable I don't have any problem with it.
Character: As I have said earlier, the characters in this story is really it's strong point, how colourful they are. Their are so many characters and till now I understand each motive of their character and their action. The author has done a very job of establishing it. That's what I really it.
So in short, You should definitely read this story. It's worth your time. I enjoyed it. - Stepan ChizhovRoyal Road★★★★★ 4.5Be prepared; it takes some time to be properly immersed in this story. Before I got to chapter 8, I was sure I'd leave a 4-star review. However, as I progressed further and further, I changed my opinion.
The style of the book may be quirky. And you may have to get used to it. But I think it's worth your time; give it a chance!
By the way, my recommendation would be to listen to the book in text-to-voice format if you are reading it through the RR app. Works quite well for this book.
Isekai'd guy becomes a rather naive barbarian. Probably, it's only proper for a barbarian to be naive. Here, it may be blown out of proportion. But there's some fun in it as well. There are some interesting family dynamics there as well. But I'd have to read more chapters to explore them in depth. And I'm looking forward to that.
Talking about family drama. That's why I recommend you to get at least to chapter 10. It starts to hit the MC hard by that moment. You don't want to miss that!
Is there room for improvement? There definitely is. Is the author doing their best to make the story better? Absolutely!
I believe that out of a good story, it may transform into a great book! Good luck to the author in achieving that! - progressingfantasyRoyal Road★★★★★ 4.5A simple feel good story, exactly what I’m looking for on royal road.
Handles an over powered MC great. Fight scenes with OP MC should not be drawn out or be the focus of the story.
This story perfectly balances the slice of life stuff, relationships, fighting, and plot progression.
It also is a very focused story. No needlessly large cast. No random side quests. Just focus on the Mc and supporting characters.
