A man's best friend

This is the story about James Tanner, or to be precise, what he will become. You see, James is not the type of person to be the main character of any story. He is a 23 year old wallflower content with living in the shadow, no friends, no family, no lover and no real goals. for the past 7 years he has had a goldfish he named Peter. In James' mind this goldfish has a personality, goals, plans, thoughts and everything that he found lacking in himself. However, to anyone else it is just a goldfish.

One day when james is out for groceries, his landlord comes by to collect rent. After knocking on the door and not being answered he enters the apartment to see if james is around. He spots the goldfish on the counter and without any second thought flushes it down the toilet. No pets means: No pets.

Returning home James finds his empy fishbowl and naturally enters a psychotic breakdown, 36 hours of blood and gore later he's shot and killed by the police. This is not where the story of James and Peter ends, it's where it begins as he finds himself brought to a new world with new posibilities and his best friend right beside him, Although... didn't something get mixed up?!

Writing this story as a passtime, no fixed schedule, no promises.. ;o
