I don't think I have to do this, but just in case:
I don't own Bloodborne or Monster Girl Encyclopedia, nor do I assert ownership in any way, shape, or form. Please don't sue me.
The Hunt is Over. The Moon Presence lies dead, and The Good Hunter has become the new master of the Dream. However, wanting to get away from the horrible place that is Yharnam, she has willed the Hunter's Workshop to a new realm. One filled with lustful Monster Girls and the humans who oppose them.
Though she may not intend to get involved with the War between monsters and humans, she will do whatever it takes to carve out a place for herself in this world. All the while ensuring Yharnam's secrets die with her, and trying to keep her godly status hidden. Will she be able to build a new home in a land ravaged by lust? Will she be able to keep the horrid Insights she discovered in Yharnam to herself? Will her new Eldritch standing be forced out by her experiences in this new world?
And, most importantly, will she be able to find peace?

- mimicofmapleRoyal Road★★★★★ 5.0I have reread this book multiple times and check it every day for new chapters because of the amazing writing and it being one of the only bloodborne books I have found with a female protagonist
I love the main character not accepting that they had became a great one and every time she is forced into a situation that calls for her great one power. Her mind cuts any thought process to her being a great one. - GabalterRoyal Road★★★★★ 5.0When I read the discription I rolled my eyes. A fan fiction with sexy monster girls and a main character just trying to find her place in such a sexy world. The only reason I even gave this story a chance is because I am a huge fan of Bloodborne, which is the source of the fanfiction. (And Monster Girl Encyclopedia but I am not overly familiar with that.)
I will say however, that I was pleasantly surprised. The sexy monster girls are actually quite terrifing in their concept as they actually brainwash and turn other people into monsters as well; like a zombie virus except with hyper intellegent zombies. Even the main character has enough questions around her (even knowing the source material) that it keeps me interested in her story.
tl/dr
story is well written and plot isn't completely nonsensical. I recomend having played Bloodborne first, but probably not necessary, you will be a little confused about some of the main character's powers though. - IchelRoyal Road★★★★★ 5.0So, hello there!
First of all,
this story ist great. Thank you, dear author, for your hard work and also thank you because your Story is the reason i started playing Bloodborne so thanks for that.
Second,
A warning for everyone who doesn't know if He should read this. This fan-fiction is a crossover between Bloodborne and the Monster Girl encyclopedia (MGE). The author already Said that in the description.
For the ones that don't know either of them:
Bloodborne is a videogame involving violence, MGE is a book about Monster Girls that "devour" Humans. So, there are often Times where the Story Talks about it. If that isn't for you then don't.
Third,
Regardless of your knowledge of Bloodborne or the MGE you will be able to follow the story and everything that happens. And it is enjoyable at least in my opinion.
So thank you author for this story that I will continue follow until it's end. - SanctifiedSeraphRoyal Road★★★★★ 5.0So your here because bloodborne, and questioning wether you should read it because... anime animal babes. So, short explanation, it's surprisingly good. And I wait every day for it's next chapter.
detailed explanation. First off, is it bloodborne like? Yes, ish. It isn't in the realm of bloodborne so it's not hopelessness kind of dark, but it is dark. (Spoiler/grotesque warning: there is the action of what rhymes with grape, (I'll explain that later,) and at some point a child is infect and has to be killed.) so yes it is dark, but that's not its focus as the main character goal is simple, but not in a bad way. Live a peaceful and good life, And that is it's driving force.
Another thing, It also calls back to items and characters from the game. As the main character will use bloodborne items and weapons as she deals with more threateningly, threats. The description of combat is also, really god. As someone who has played bloodborne I can easily visualize the battle and movement from reading it. Also our ever helpful companion the doll. Is with the hunter as the main character can access the dream at will. And the dialogue sounds like something the doll would say. Which is nice since fan fics sometimes just ignore that characters talk differently.
now, the monster ladies. It's weird for me to say this. But it fits well, decent, decently well. It's works a lot better then you think. Their whole thing is to infect woman through, sex. Willing our unwilling into basically beasty sex zombies. And the man into their "husbands" Their intelligent but narrow minded on, the sex. There is apparently an whole lore thing, but I've stayed far away for, obvious reasons. But the books does a fine job of explaining all you need to know.
Another thing I notice and liked about the book. This book is mature about its themes. For a book about anime animal girls, there is thankfully no stupid anime tropes. And it delves a bit into how sex without love is unhealthy, and how restraint and c - SpartanstorytellerRoyal Road★★★★★ 5.0This takes a game I love and a genre I can't get enough of and puts the two together and demonstrates a solid grasp of the bloodborne lore. There are the occasional spelling errors but it doesn't really detract from anything for me the only thing I will warn others about is that this story also captures how dark bloodborne can be at times.
One thing I feel everyone should remember going in is that the Good Hunter in this story is more the authors interpretation of our silent character not to say I feel it is inaccurate or somehow disappointing I've taken a liking to the main character of this story but I can kind of see why someone might have a different interpretation of how the protagonist of bloodborne should act.
One thing I really want to praise is the fights. It can be surprisingly hard to have both an excellent fight and make sure that it moves the plot along at the same time which this book does very well in my opinion.
The chapters do need some light editing here and there but the context isn't really lost and it's nothing that I feel is overly distracting or deal breaking but I know it will get to some people. - BlazeruptonomyRoyal Road★★★★★ 5.0Didn't know how to feel going in but I gotta say I'm absolutely loving this mashup. Never heard of the monster girl ip side of things B4 this but it's whole premise is horrifying as u learn more about how the monster girls work n I think the 2 ip fit together surprisingly well. My new head cannon is tht yarnum is just what this world will be in the future wen the monster girls get visited by aunt flow en masse causing the gods to peace out after getting yelled at over nothing one too many times which releases the old ones from the deap lol. Either way really hope this doesn't end up going on hiatus indefinitely like half my other favorite stories on rr but so far it's great to the point that if the author set up a Patreon or something w a few chapters ahead of rr id buy tht shit in a heartbeat
- PierazRoyal Road★★★★★ 5.0Weird premise but the story is really interesting, especially if you have played BloodBorne.
Characters are fun and it's always nice to see the various BB references.
Low number of grammar mistakes.
If you liked BloodBorne, go read it; if you didn't, go read it anyway, it's still a lot of fun. - King FritoRoyal Road★★★★ 4.0I have received a response from the Author and now understand why the mc is like that, It happens that I think the mc personality would go the opposite direction than what the Author thinks it would go (aka I think the mc would go mad and murder everyone the Author thinks otherwise). Which is fine because the mind is complex and could go either way, so keep in mind the review below are my previous thoughts So please take it with some salt. In conclusion the mc is justified in acting like they do but I still think it's odd. I have always been quite insensitive so that is probably causing it.
I personally, think the story is alright but the mc just ruins the story for me. Never ever would someone who dedicated their whole life to something (in the mc's case it's monster hunting) basically give up on it at the drop of a hat. The mc suddenly goes from murder every monster even the children to cry a whole lot and try to never kill any monsters. It just doesn't fit the heroines character that was set at the start. The mc is literally a battle hardened veteran that has fought monstrosities and overcame trials that the weak willed would never be able to do. It just makes no sense for the mc to be so weak willed about her cause.
If you can ignore the mc you will enjoy the story but I just can't get passed it. - SeadrakeRoyal Road★★★★ 3.5Looks promising at chapter 5.
No blatant grammar errors and the MC looks to be taking shape rather well.
However you do need the Grimdark tag, it warns readers like me.
I can appreciate the work you put into it, but it's just not my cup of tea.
Good luck - UndyingEarthRoyal Road★★★ 3.0Let me preface by saying that there is a lot for a prospective reader to like here. There is very little to complain about the grammar and prose. The side-characters are well-written enough to get a good feel for their motivations despite their limited time in the spot-light. The idea of combining a bloody horror-action game with a Japanese porn setting sounds ludicrous at first, but the author manages to weave the two together without it feeling too immersion breaking.
However, I was unable read past the 10th chapter because of how the protagonist was handled. Without going into too much spoilers, they have an immunity to a certain force in the MGE setting that basically rendered a lot of potential challenges null. They also acted in a way that made me want to put down the story lest they make events even worse than they were before. Perhaps this wouldn't be too much of an issue had the protagonist been charismatic enough, but in my opinion they weren't.
Again, this wasn't a bad story by any means--it simply wasn't my cup of tea. Give it a read and you might end up enjoying it.
