A Gray and Grey world

Description

What if adventurers are not as they seemed. In the tales of old, adventurers were the ones who vanquished the demons and beasts from the land, the ones who sealed the great evil away, the ones who saved the world from destruction and kept peace within the lands. But, what if that wasn't really what happened?

What if adventurers are selfish, narcissicistic, and- depending on who you ask- evil. What if they weren't the paragons of good thattheirhistory books show. As they say, it is the victors that write history.

In this world, this broken world, the true nature of adventurers will be told, unveiled to the masses. In this world, where history has yet to be written, the true heroes will be shown. Or- at least, that's what should've happened.

But then again- heroes, villains-... everything is relative to the one who sees it. Everything changes depending on who's perspective... Perhaps the heroes of this story- may not be theheroesthat you might think.

I've read the chapters, overall, it's a good read.
To all the people used to webnovels, this might be a bit longer than what you're used to. It feels more like reading an actual novel than a web novel.
The story so far follows Arke. From impressions, he looks like a character that acts based on logic and- without saying spoilers- can be rather forward(?). The other characters introduced are Cyrille, who seems to be the opposite of Arke. She has good to great dynamic interactions with the MC though. There are a lot of other characters that haven't showed up enough for me to judge.
The actual plot is really interesting though. A sort of parody/satire/twist on how everyone views adventurers in RPG games or novels about them. It's really refreshing. The story is fairly gritty and very rational. I've yet to find any character that didn't do things in at least a slightly logical way. It feels more alive because of that, and I love it. Though that does mean that there might be no easy romance or easy characters here. Fanservice looks like it won't happen early on- if ever.
Writing style might be a little jarring. Third person is mostly used, but it feels more like a character in the universe is narrating the events in third person at times.
