Long ago, a mysterious and incredibly powerful device was launched into the boundless expanse of spacetime by a decaying enigmatic organization. This contraption, a prototype of an Auxiliary Consciousness System, possessed the ability to create a second consciousness in the user, accelerating their mental processes and enabling them to absorb, analyze, and respond to information at an unprecedented speed and precision.

However, by a twist of fate, the device found its way into the hands of a young orphan named Loen Rhodes.

Though born from humble beginnings and left to navigate the harsh realities of life alone, Loen’s heart burned with ambition. His dreams stretched far beyond the confines of his modest existence, yearning for something greater. Little did he know destiny would set him on a path that would change the course of his life — and the world around him.

As Loen journeys through a perilous world, filled with ancient mysteries and powerful organizations, he begins to grow stronger. The ancient kingdoms, filled with tightly secured secrets and formidable warriors, will stop at nothing to maintain their dominion. A Flicker in the Gloomis set in a vast progression-fantasy world. Also heavily inspired in Xianxia, albeit not a classical one. In the beginning, the characters’ powers won’t be so strong, but expect it to rise exponentially as the story progresses.
