Description

Dr. Chukwudi Egbo, nick-named GIG, a newly inducted doctor and a reluctant magician trainee, begins his housemanship at the University of Nigeria Teaching Hospital (UNTH).

When a child is brought into the children’s emergency unit with fever, severe pallor, and respiratory distress, the case seems unusual from the start.

The boy’s history is as complicated as his condition. Abadoned, and with only his aging grandmother and devoted uncle to care for him. As his condition worsens, Chukwudi realizes the boy’s survival might hinge on reaching out to a senior magician-doctor he met a year prior, now estranged.

Bound by necessity, the two must set aside their differences to uncover the nature of the boy’s illness. Together, Chukwudi and his mentor embark on a perilous journey. As they confront ancient magic, warring clans, and their personal demons, they must learn to trust each other to save the boy—and perhaps heal their own wounds along the way.

In a world where science and magic collide,A Doctor-Magicians Journalexplores themes of forgiveness, resilience, and the sacrifices required to save a life against impossible odds.
