Description

In a continent ravaged by war between humans and magical beings, an orphan child has taken residence at the bastion of hope in the human kingdom. Though displaying incredible dexterity, his terrible luck pins him against foes he could not hope to defeat. A chance encounter with thugs leaves him stabbed and left for dead. With an intense desire to live, he awakens the innate and powerful darkness magic to bolster his life and take back what others have stolen from him. This chronicles his journey as he learns to harness his power, whether it is for good or evil, you'll have to read and find out.

To everyone interested in this story, I have every intention to finish it, but chapters will be very slow since I am going to college. If my studies allow me any spare time I will update the story and write a new chapter.

Well, I enjoyed myself reading this but it seems like the MC will turn into a bitch goody two-shoe in the long run anyway, no matter what. I could already see it! His Harem bitches are going to sway him to the “good” side or he’s going to be like “I’m better than these guys I’m fighting, so I’m better than that” or something close to it. I could see the disgusting “good” coming a mile away. Creeping ever closely like vermin.
Could be wrong, so I’m gonna wait for at least 20 more chapter to see what really happens but my score won’t change no matter what outcome it is, because I genuinely enjoyed myself but for now….

I really like dark Mc's, and this one have one. I don't understand why people think that Mc must be evil for a reason? Why can't Mc just be evil just because he wants to be bad, or evil for the sake of evil. Anyway good job writing story with normal Mc, not some kind of pussy mega demon, devil, evil dragon bloodline hero, who saves anyone who he meets.BUT DON'T TURN THIS INTO ANOTHER ONE OF THOSE CN NOVELS WHERE MC BECOMES GOOD CAUSE OF BITCHES WHO ARE AROUND HIM.. The first time I started reading, I enjoyed it but it felt a little too shallow. It felt like we were just skimming the surface of the characters and their emotions and motives. I got away from it for a while and am coming back now because I really want to love this story and I'm hoping I just have to get a bit further along to find that depth. Excited to get back into it!

Story is too fast and shallow. MC goes from a complete weakling to one of top men in the kingdom in ~10 chapters. Nothing that happens on the way to power is explained, and it seems like there are some random events thrown in… just for the sake of them being there.
The side characters have no personality or depth, they might aswell all die and no readers would care.

A decent enough story, but it failed to get me excited. I was 9 chapters in when I dropped this story, which I did because it continuously seemed like I was reading a prologue. As things are currently, it’s a story I would revisit only when I can’t find anything else to read. After all, while this story is good enough to read, it’s not good enough to read when I have 5 tabs currently opened with truly interesting stories in them. My advice for the author is to make the story a bit more character driven. Give the main character an interesting trait(Be it personality wise or whatever), that’ll hook the readers and convince us to stick with the story. Something relatable would likely work best. And perhaps take another look at your pacing and writing style.
