A Certain Cyborg's Journey Back to Civilization

A heavily modified cyborg such that he can barely still be called human is transported well outside the familiar solar system under mysterious circumstances, to a planet of human-like beings at a much lesser technological level. Technology sufficiently advanced to be called magic meets medieval-like people.

Trying to carve a comfortable existence for himself amidst an alien culture. Armed with the future equivalent of a hard copy of wikipedia and small-scale molecular-scale manufacturing implants, is the correct choice attempting to uplift an entire alien planet? Secluding himself in a wizard's tower? Starting a country? Commandeering a city? All of the above?
