My infamous fanfiction piece now remastered here as well as elsewhere!For those fortunate enough to not yet stumble across it but about to make the mistake of embarking on this journey, I don't wish to spoil the effect of this piece by explaining it, because between the lines of the story, it's meant to be sneaky and clever! That does, however, require a fair amount of thinking, as I like to write for people like me, who enjoy overthinking every single detail of a story and trying to connect all the dots and references within!I will warn that it features a darker Harry bearing a very different characterisation to the usual, mature themes, even more mature themes, and some extra mature themes sprinkled on top of that. Not a fairytale. Or for the faint-hearted.

- MontenegroRoyal Road★★★★★ 5.0If you at all enjoyed the Harry Potter movies, you will definitely like this. Given that it is a little darker, as was the purpose. The writing is of publishing quality, the characters are of depth and change, and the world is alive and not just a recreation but a reimagining. The choices the characters make feel real, and the plot does not feel fabricated. The romance is gripping, and thankfully there is no harem, no matter how much it is joked about. This is not a power fantasy or smut, but a deeper look into desire and purpose. This fanfiction is not as black and white as the original and explores the personalities of our main cast when subjected to a more realistic Harry Poter world.
- nuubmanRoyal Road★★★★ 4.0Probably one of the best fics of Harry Potter out there, the interactions feels real, even more importantly the world building is spectacular and even more the slow descent into the dark side so to speak, but hey like Salazar said " there is only intent ", to be honest one of the reasons of why I like this fic so much is because we have a harry that realizes quite early his paper in the story, what people expect of him, the little lies, the true face of the people, what they expect of him and the sheer hipocresy of his so called allies, specially Dumbledore fck him, he sees with clarity all this and he decides that he doesn't wants to play the hero he doesn't want to be a martyr for those shallow little people, he only wants one perfect wish and he will do anything to achieve that, anything! On that note I must compliment the author, the introspection of Harry feelings/psyche, his development during the years in Hogwarts and how much he was affected by that? How that one encounter changed him, how that one encounter made him different from tom? Pure genius, I don't want to spoil anything so I will stop here.
This fanfic is spectacular, my only complain would be the last 2 chapters, they are so convoluted and unclear, what happened? Was that an attempted to look smart? The ending really ruined something great
