- RznRoyal Road★★ 2.0For a short story to be deceptive with a reader is something that is a bit of a curve, and if done correctly can be something that improves the piece. There is no clear reason for the deception here, no reason why basic information is concealed. The story unravels as the ending becomes a mix of confusion. I am not sure what effect was intended, perhaps just a twist ending, but it did not pull the piece together for me.
